Classes for Locals at the Mill Art Center

Through guided exercises you will enter the intuitive world of collage with a focus on color theory and composition. In each class we will focus on one aspect of, what is known as Color Contrasts. In this way, you can more fully know how to utilize the knowledge gained in any of your artful expressions, regardless of what medium you normally use. We will focus on composition, pattern, spacial concepts and the use of Color Contrasts to create multiple collages. You may take any or all, as they will each have a unique focus. All materials will be provided in each class.

Are you interested in learning about the encaustic process? I offer ongoing opportunities for you to get a taste of the various and fascinating ways to work with wax. Each class is intended for the complete beginner, but also an excellent refresher for those of you who’ve experienced encaustic. I offer Getting Started Workshops, Mixed Media with Encaustic, Incorporating Collage with Wax, Encaustic Printmaking and creating Three Dimensional art forms with Wax.
